Necessary skills:
◆ Strong technical SEO background
◆ The ability to deploy an effective search strategy
◆ Experience in link-building and guest blogging
◆ A background in creating reports showing analytics data and site evaluations
◆ Expert user of SEO tools, including SEMrush, Google Search Console
◆ Familiarity with Google Analytics in the context of organic search
◆ The ability to work with technical SEO elements such as .htaccess, robots.txt, canonical tags, broken links, redirects, duplicate pages, structured data markups, etc.
◆ The ability to write requests for a developer
◆ Familiarity with WordPress
Responsibilities/tasks:
◆ Performing ongoing keyword research, discovery, and optimization for new SEO keywords
◆ Creating SEO briefs for a content specialist, monitoring trends, and suggesting content topics
◆ Changing website content, linking, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords
◆ Optimizing content for featured snippets
◆ Working with toxic backlinks
◆ Providing recommendations to optimize sitelinks
◆ Providing recommendations for image optimization
Tools:
◆ SEMRush (namely, Keyword Research, Link Building, and On Page & Tech SEO tools)
◆ Google Search Console (Working with the Index coverage, Mobile usability and Search performance reports)
◆ Google Analytics (Basic understanding of key metrics; Landing page traffic analysis)
