Today, Timeless Skin Care serves both domestic and international markets and partners with various retail programs to make its skincare products more accessible to customers worldwide.

Challenges

Timeless Skin Care aimed to expand its market presence, grow its customer base, and increase sales from new customers.

However, several challenges arose, namely:

  • Intense industry competition. The beauty and skincare market is saturated with well-established brands, which makes it difficult for lesser-known companies to stand out. Many competitors also allocate significantly more resources to their marketing efforts, thus further increasing their visibility and dominance.
  • Limited internal resources. While Timeless made efforts to promote its products independently, the team lacked the expertise needed to execute highly effective advertising campaigns.
  • Over-reliance on promotions. Frequent discount-driven promotions led customers to expect and wait for sales, which reduced the brand’s ability to drive full-price purchases.
  • Attribution challenges. A significant portion of purchases across paid social platforms was attributed to one-day view attribution, with platforms taking credit for transactions that originated from other sources, which has no incremental value for the business
  • High customer acquisition costs. Without a streamlined strategy, the brand faced elevated CPAs for new customers, which reduced the overall efficiency and impact of its marketing efforts.

To help Timeless overcome the aforementioned challenges and achieve the desired outcomes, our experts in paid social and paid search advertising revised and refined the client’s existing ad strategy as well as implemented a series of key improvements.

In paid search, we started by restructuring the account with a strong differentiation between branded and non-branded campaigns. By excluding branded keywords from non-branded campaigns, we targeted unaware users to expand Timeless’s customer base. The budget was strategically allocated between the two campaign types to prioritize new customer acquisition while maintaining solid performance across all channels.

We also implemented a portfolio bidding strategy for the branded search campaign to optimize cost efficiency by lowering cost per click while securing strong auction positions. Plus, recognizing Timeless’s frequent sales and promotions, we adjusted the strategy during these periods by boosting budgets and bids to maximize visibility, capture demand, and drive the highest revenue possible.

Further, we implemented a loyalty program in Google Merchant that highlighted exclusive shopping benefits within ads and empowered the client to boost conversions and foster long-term customer loyalty.

On Pinterest, where Timeless features plenty of creative product assets, we ran A/B tests to fine-tune visuals and audience targeting, making adjustments as we went. To boost engagement and drive more action on the platform, we also incorporated special promotions right into the ads that offered seasonal discounts.

At the same time, we engaged our design team to create fresh and eye-catching creatives. These creatives effectively communicated the core message of the promotions and made them both appealing to Pinterest users and compelling enough to prompt immediate purchases.

For Meta ads, we started by providing Timeless with custom recommendations to optimize their creative ad performance and offered clear guidance on key focus areas. Our design team then developed high-quality creatives that highlighted the brand’s core messaging and promotions.

As well as this, our experts restructured the campaigns with a focus on incremental value, scaled Timeless’s ad campaigns, regularly updated and tracked performance, and applied data-driven optimizations to maximize the brand’s reach and guarantee that the ads effectively engaged a broader audience and drove Timeless toward its business objectives.

We also activated Meta & Instagram Shops to enhance the efficiency of marketing campaigns.
